Danish bank Lunar wanted to do a brand awareness campaign concerning their new feature, "Betal Senere." A buy now pay later concept. We wanted to showcase shitty and humorous situations where such a function would make perfect sense. We came up with three concepts 1. For your wedding 2. For your first apartment (which is often seen as an important financial decision) 3. and on vacation. These were combined with simple and understandable compositions and cuts to further elevate the story for this new banking feature.
Production was simple regarding composition and camera movement, but the three scenarios were built on location scouting, set design, and styling. We needed beach equipment, camping gear, and a beautiful wedding dress to complete the set designs to sell the idea and narrative. With our network, our client Karim Design lent us a stunning wedding dress with only a few days' notice which sold the idea and kept the cost of the production down as everything else was within our reach.
The production lasted a full day and was carefully planned, so we had plenty of time to set up, discuss and shoot on the three different chosen locations. Our small crew included a lighting assistant to tackle the sun in the exterior shots and control the lighting indoors. Our DoP was constantly aware of the importance of the compositions. They were important since every take should fit in three different formats for every social platform with graphics animated at the top and bottom.
